Calling all Tree Huggers!

Are you passionate about greening our urban environment, especially in residential areas? Then this event is for you! Join this fall's first Tiny Tree Planting session to help grow our urban tree canopy as part of the City’s Climate Action and Adaptation Plan.

You will team up with Urban Ambassadors and the City Foresters of Des Moines on a fall Saturday at Magnolia Park. All equipment and snacks will be provided. Just wear durable clothing and bring your water bottle & to go cup!

Meeting point: corner of SE 3rd St & E Emma Ave
Street parking available in the neighborhood.

Through these plantings, we strive to lower extreme temperatures in our city, clean its air, mitigate floods, and make it overall more healthy and livable. Together, we can create a vibrant, green, pleasant city and showcase the power of community and #sustainability.
