Join the Des Moines Citizen Task Force on Sustainability Wednesday, April 7th at 5:30 pm, for a discussion on stormwater and flooding efforts in Des Moines.

Special guests include:

Justin D' Souza: the Des Moines Stormwater Permit Program Coordinator.

Derek Namanny: the Des Moines Environmental Engineering Technician.

Together, Justin and Derek will talk about Stormwater and Flood mitigation efforts the city is working on as well as green and gray infrastructure projects.

Makenna Rhodes: City of Des Moines Intern for the Sustainability Program Manager. Makenna will talk about a stormwater mitigation project that she has created for the City of Des Moines.

Allison Van Pelt: Senior Planer with the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will update us on the Rain Campaign and other efforts she is working on.

The conversation will be moderated by Carolyn Uhlenhake Walker and we will have plenty of time for questions after the speakers.
