The Des Moines Arts Festival is returning this year on Friday, June 25, through Sunday, June 27. Volunteers are needed for the annual outdoor arts-and-culture festival, and you can participate as a member of the Sustainability Team.

The Festival is focused on maximizing sustainability efforts to eliminate waste and carbon emissions during the three-day event, as well as educating the 200,000-plus attendees on sustainable practices. As a volunteer on the Sustainability Team, you will help by educating attendees on the best practices and ensuring items are placed in the appropriate bins for recycling and composting.

2.     On the alphabetized list of volunteer opportunities, scroll to the Sustainability Team to select your desired time slot(s) and register with your information.

3.     Arrive at the Volunteer Headquarters Tent prior to the start of your shift, spread sustainability and enjoy the festival!

Saturday, June 26: 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Sunday, June 27: 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The Des Moines Arts Festival intends to implement consistent and relevant COVID-19-related protocols that will ensure a safe and comfortable environment for partners and guests. For volunteers, masks are encouraged but not required.
